We partnered with Unidos Nueva Alianza (UNA) to design and facilitate a two-part bilingual staff retreat series focused on strengthening alignment, trust, and shared direction across a growing team. The organization wanted to reconnect around mission and values, deepen understanding across programs, and prepare for strategic planning in the year ahead.
Our work emphasized inclusive, relationship-centered facilitation that honored lived experience and centered staff voice in both English and Spanish. The first retreat focused on storytelling, mission examination, and shared learning across UNA’s program areas, creating space for feedback and clarity. The second retreat built on that foundation to support strategic visioning, decision-making, and prioritization—helping the team identify focus areas, define success, and name the criteria that guide how UNA allocates time, energy, and resources. Throughout both sessions, we integrated wellness practices, visual tools, and structured dialogue to support participation and sustainability.
The retreat series resulted in greater clarity, cohesion, and shared ownership across the staff team, along with a clearer sense of priorities and next steps moving into strategic planning. Staff left with a stronger understanding of one another’s roles, renewed connection to UNA’s mission, and a more grounded, collective vision for the future. This project showcases Sage Step Consulting’s experience with bilingual facilitation and organizational alignment in Central Washington, supporting teams build clarity and momentum while caring for the people doing the work.
